Another Emergency!

In case you haven't noticed Obama likes to govern by crisis. The more emergencies we have, the better for him! Rahm Emanual (President Obama's Chief of Staff) said "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. It's an opportunity to do things you think could not do before."

He meant it. Now we are paying for it - BIG TIME!!!

We just passed the Stimulus package and Omnibus budget that were jammed down our throats in record time a few weeks ago. We were told of an eminent crisis looming over America if they didn't pass these bills. Both were supposed to "save the day" for America despite creating record deficits. They were rushed so fast that Congress didn't even "have time to read the legislation" - just time to pass it! New jobs were promised with both of these packages. We have lost well over 2 million jobs since their passage! What gives here?

The House of Representatives just passed the Cap and Trade "tax" on Americans and the Senate is busy with the Sotomayor Supreme Court nomination. Currently, the President is urging for both tasks to be done ASAP so Congress can get government healthcare passed before they leave in August.

Wait a Minute America!
Don't you see the pattern here? The government repeats itself over and over in quick secession. Make the new situation a crisis. Pass a new law without letting anyone find out what's in the bill or figure out its long term consequences. Then pass another comprehensive package and treat it like emergency. Forget the costs! It's so important and we need it quickly so it can save America. Don't read it, just pass it. It will save us all!

The New Emergency
Now it's the government "healthcare emergency." We need to pass it, even if we don't know how to pay for it. We don't know how much it will really cost. We need to pass it even though it will punish the elderly and those with chronic diseases. Don't read it, just pass it. We NEED GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE. It will protect everyone. Yeah, right!

What's the danger or difficulty we face immediately, if we don't fix healthcare by August? Hummm, there is none now is there? We are being lied to again!

Government healthcare, as planned, rations-out your treatment, costs more, and eliminates competition, and won't cover everyone. Depending on your age, gender, and current health, the government decides whether you receive treatment or not. Yes, that's a fact and that's how it works in Great Britain and in Canada. But Obama won't tell you that.

Rationed healthcare is for the good of the state. Baby Boomers ARE the government target! Seniors take the hit so that the uninsured can be covered. Nice! Need kidney dialysis, it's too expensive and you are too old anyway! REFUSED!

Need Lipitor for your arteries? Too expensive. REFUSED! Breast cancer fatalities are higher in the UK than here in the US because they force people to wait for treatment. DENIED or DELAYED treatment! Too bad for you!

Pay Attention America !!
Tell Congress not to ration your healthcare. Don't rush anymore legislation. This is NOT an emergency. SLOW Down. Let's finish work and stop the passage of the Cap and Trade "tax" first.

As Chuck Schumer said, "The devil is in the details." So why not read the details. Stop the government take over of healthcare for you and your family. Don't trust Washington politicians with your LIFE!

Tell Congress to Start Listening
Tell Congress to S L O W D O W N and stop the insane spending! Tell Congress that there is NO healthcare emergency and that it can wait until the economy starts to improve. Tell them to start listening; Your vote depends on their positive actions.

Unbiased Justice

As you know there is a Supreme Court vacancy and Sonia Sotomayor has been nominated for the position. Whoever fills this position will be appointed for "life". She can make a big difference in just how the Constitution is interpreted.

As a Second Circuit Court justice she earned a reputation as being an activist judge. What exactly does that mean?

It means that her career illustrates by example that she resolves legal issues by discriminating against white males in order to bring about an "equality" of rewards in society.

She has never flinched in asking for ethnic and gender preferences while climbing the career ladder. That's how she was admitted to law school.

Her rulings leave much to be desired. For example, she ruled that New York State denied convicted felons in prison their civil rights by denying them to vote. Hence, denying convicts the right to vote has a disparate affect on those minorities. Hello, they ARE in PRISON for punishment!!! Most recently, the Supreme Court ruled against her decision because she discriminated against firefighters when she denied them promotions.

She has had six (6) of her court rulings go to the Supreme Court. Four of her rulings were overturned! Off hand, that's not a very good record for a judge.

What You Should Do

Use this link for the US Senate. Look up the email address for your Senators. Compose a brief email to each one and tell them not to confirm her nomination. Simply, "Vote NO on the Sotomayor confirmation."

Are Czars Even Legal?

Definition of a czar: A person having great power; an autocrat. White house insiders appointed exclusively by the President.

Obama has appointed 33 czars! Now the Democrats in Congress want to add another czar to oversee health insurance - thus, duplicating all state insurance commissioners whose job is to protect consumers. What's the point? Why the power grabs?

These czars report directly to the President and do not require Senate confirmation. They have total immunity from Congress. Obama's czars are being granted extensive powers without ever being confirmed or ratified by anyone! These positions have no provisions in the Constitution. They were conceived by this administration unilaterally. They are not subjected to transparency rules and may seriously be a violation of the law and/or the Constitution! Shouldn't someone formally object and challenge the authority and legality of these czars? How about Congress? How about the media? Is there anybody out there who cares?

This is the first US presidency to employ the use of czars. The last time any government used czars (besides Russia in the early 1900s) to help run government bureaus was during the reign of Mussolini in the late 1920s throughout the 1940s.

How much power do these these new Czars have? Well, Steve Rattner the Auto Czar fired Rick Wagner the CEO of General Motors on behalf of President Obama. He also set the terms for Chrysler and General Motors bankruptcy deals, screwing bond holders out of their investments by giving ownership to the auto unions instead.

That's a lot of POWER!! It's also a bad precedent. It's the first time the President ever fired anyone in charge of a company in the private sector. AND, the first time a government agency negotiated a bankruptcy. Was this legal? Is this abuse of Presidential power? No one has challenged it - Yet.

Speaking of the Car Czar, Steve Rattner is leaving as head of the auto task force. His former firm, Quadrangle, is involved in a probe by the New York attorney general. There are allegations of bribery and wrongdoing.

Is this the type of person we want in our government? Wouldn't these details have come to light if there was a vetting process in place?

Already registered? Are you affiliated with a political party? Consider changing that designation to that of "Independent."

Why do This?

Our government is predominantly controlled by lobbyists. Our representatives are linked closely to special interests - not us! This is true for both parties - Republicans and Democrats once they are elected. That's where they get the money to get re-elected!

Congress is so busy giving your money to these groups as "pork" that they have to distract you so you don't notice their activity. They do this by using so called "wedge" issues. These issues draw your attention away from how they are spending and gets you to focus on something else. For example, gay marriage, or gun control are wedge issues. They split Americans down between party lines and refocus attention away from other important issues. We spend our time arguing and discussing these issues, while Congress wastes our money. Are they important issues? Of course! What are the bigger issues? What's REALLY important? Are wdege issues the main issues of the day? Probably not.

By registering as an Independent, you will help wake up Congress to stop "playing" to their registered base and face the possibility they have to win or "earn" a vote from you instead of assuming they already have it. This would help change the Congressional focus on the "True" issues instead of the wedge issues.

As an Independent, you should vote for the individual - not for the party. Both parties have disregarded us. We are just a means to their ends. That's why we end up with the worst of two evils when selecting candidates for office. They are too much alike in many respects. They both:

  • Don't actually care about you

  • Have an elitist mentality

  • Treat us like children

  • Are condescending to us

  • Think we don't care

  • Believe we are too stupid

  • Are too much in debt with PACs and special interest groups

  • Promise us what we want to hear but never deliver

  • Don't read the bills they pass

  • Have low job ratings - So why keep voting for them?

The only time both parties universally join and work together is when they ratify pay raises for themselves! (Incidentally, they now make $175,000 and will keep that full salary after leaving office + paid health benefits for the rest of their life!).

Start thinking for yourself. Ask yourself, does my party REALLY have my best interests at stake or do they just care about themselves? Isn't it time to change your thinking?

Register as an Independent

How to Register as an Independent
Call your local courthouse or DMV and find out where to register. Get a voter registration form, fill it out, and on the political affiliation part of the voter registration form, check the box for Non-Partisan.
