Hackers – Oh Really?

The alleged "hacker" of the ClimateGate scandal is not guilty of committing ANY crimes. The information they obtained was downloaded from an FTP public web site. The information that was responsible for the scandal was posted under the British Freedom of Information Act. So nothing was stolen and no crime was perpetrated. No one “hacked” anything. The information was posted for anyone’s access.

This scandal began when an anonymous person released over 60 MB of confidential files that included over 1,000 emails and some 70 documents. The documents exposed that the “scientists” at the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) admit manipulating data about the earth’s temperature. They discuss to using a “trick” to hide the “decline” in the earth’s temperature since 1960!

Finally the main stream media mentions the scandal, but they don’t call it that. Instead, they defend the emails by explaining that “trick” and “hide the decline” really don’t mean what you think. They give a lame definition instead. No matter how you try and whitewash this, it is a gigantic fraud.

These documents show these “scientists” engaging in what may be criminal activity. They indicate that the Climate Research Unit was committing fraud among other things. To make matters worse, the CRU received more than $23 Million in US taxpayer dollars for its work on global warming. Humm… and this is NOT worth investigating?

The CRU claimed to have collected the most complete temperature data on the earth’s temperature for the last half century. This information, in turn, was used by the United Nations Climate Change panel in 2007 to formally report to the world that we need to abolish modern technology because if pollution it creates. After this scandal broke, the CRU suddenly “lost” all of this scientific data and that it was “irretrievably lost.” How convenient. When asked to duplicate results, they cannot. Shouldn’t we be asking why not? What happened to the most comprehensive earth temperature data? How was it lost? Are we supposed to believe the “scientific consensus” with these things happening? Why can’t they prove they are not lying? What are the trying to hide? The TRUTH!

Our President is going to Denmark next week to the climate summit. He is going to commit the United States to a reduction of greenhouse gasses with the world community. How can he continue to ignore ClimateGate? Is he part of the problem? What is his REAL agenda?

If the man-made global warming hysteria is the product of junk science, isn’t it important to move carefully – before making this kind of commitment? Who profits from this agreement? We need more information, just like Obama did, before he made his strategy decision on Afghanistan. Why not stop, make no commitments, and get to the bottom of the scandal with some investigations? Don’t commit the US to any treaty that gives-up US sovereignty. AND, don’t pass Cap & Trade at a cost of $145 Trillion dollars in new taxes to Americans.

Ironic - But Not Surprised

Isn’t it strange that one of the biggest potential world-wide scandal is not reported by NBC, ABC, CNN or CBS? On November 20, 2009 it was first reported that there may be a cover-up regarding Global Warming. Have your heard anything about this from those networks?? How come?

The scandal is that several scientists behind the global warming “Theory” may be conspiring to suppress actual data that shows just the opposite of their political alarmism. They have allegedly destroyed any data that shows anything contrary to what they want the data to indicate. They have also tried to discredit opponents – even to the point of getting some individuals fired for publishing opposing thoughts.

In spite of all this furor, the main stream media is SILENT! Why is this?

Even our administration is ignoring the situation. President Obama is still going to Denmark for the climate summit where he is expected to commit US resources to reducing greenhouse gasses. Senator Barbara Boxer when confronted with the scandal, admits that there should indeed be criminal charges filed AGAINST the email hackers who broke the story. Wow, this sounds like a couple of AGs here in the United States who want to persecute the two individuals who videotaped ACORN violating the law of the land.

Yes, it is ironic that the Left cannot be objective or open minded when it comes to ANYTHING that endangers or attacks their agenda. Forget that the Cap & Trade proposed legislation will cost Americans at least $145 Trillion dollars if implemented. Our own President has stated “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” Forget that our economy is in shambles and that the unemployment rate is at a 25 year high! The Left still wants to impose this agenda because it is worth Trillions of dollars to their special interest groups.

Action To Take
Call the White House and let them know you oppose Cap & Trade and don’t want Obama to give up national sovereignty in any BOGUS treaty on Climate Change.

White House Ignores ClimateGate

In spite of recent disclosures regarding the alleged conspiracy to promote Climate Change for political gain and to raise taxes, the White House continues to ignore the possibility that there may be some truth in these allegations. Instead, Obama will be on his way to Denmark to make concessions to world leaders towards reducing green house gasses.

Hello? Lights on, nobody home!

Is the White House trying to whitewash this potential crisis? Is this a chink in the Progressive armor? Why not step back and see what is unfolding in the United Kingdom? There are many different interpretations of what the “scientific” community over there was doing to the climate data.

Lord Christopher Monckton released a definitive report on the ClimateGate scandal. Here is the link to the 43 page report. After reading it, you may have a different opinion about the “true” science used and the “real” motivations used by these alleged conspirators.

The Cap & Trade legislation (sitting in the US Senate waiting for them to vote on it) will cost US citizens an estimated $145 Trillion dollars in new taxes. Can our economy afford these taxes during the worst recession since the Great Depression?

Action To Take
Contact the White House and request them to investigate this report. Ask why the President refuses to slow down and wait for more information before making ANY commitments to foreign leaders to reduce green house gasses. Why can’t Obama wait like he did on Afghanistan before he makes a BIG mistake on Clime Change?

Illegal Aliens Are Still Covered

It doesn’t matter which version of the government healthcare plan you talk about, they all have included coverage for illegal aliens. Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens could receive healthcare coverage from their employers. This is true even though President Obama promised that illegal aliens would not benefit from this plan. Maybe he IS a liar after all!

The House bill mandates and the Senate version strongly encourages businesses to give healthcare coverage to all employees. Neither contains any exemptions to screen-out illegal aliens. Neither bill requires employers to verify identities of employees (Illegal aliens usually false documents to gain employment). Democrats say that in the case of illegal coverage, that it would be an outcome of people breaking the law, and not intentional by the employers. Republicans argue that these loopholes allow coverage to anyone who wants to cheat the system (including illegal aliens who by the way, have already broken the law to gain entry into the United States).

So the current thinking in Congress is to stick your head in the sand and ignore the problem of illegal aliens altogether. The bottom line is that Americans will have to pay for them. Gee, that sounds fair! A free entitlement to someone who doesn’t legally belong here who is “sponging” off the system. That’s NOT a solution. That’s a Problem!

If you’re going to the trouble of creating an entirely new healthcare system of over 2,000 pages of regulations and rules, you should also consider and resolve the problem of how to deal with people who have no legal right to receive this benefit. After all what’s another 50 pages?

If they won’t resolve the issue, they should abolish the plan. It doesn’t fix anything if it can’t address important issues. This is simply another version of a healthcare system that introduces unresolved problems that will continue to fester and become more expensive over time. They are wasting US taxpayers dollars – not to mention ruining our future generation’s life styles with caustic deficit spending.

Federal Reserve Bank

In 1912 the House Banking and Currency Committee had hearings to look into the control of the banking resources in America. This committee concluded that American banking was in the hands of a "money trust." This was a well established identity that consisted of a few leaders of finance.

When President Wilson (a Progressive) was elected to office, he opposed any plan that would concentrate control in the hands of the existing banks. Instead he wanted the creation of a central bank that would perform all banking functions and issue currency against commercial assets and gold. Congress approved the Federal Reserve Act in 1913 under the Wilson administration.

This act went against the Founding Fathers idea of banks and how they should be operated. Thomas Jefferson was a leading opponent of central banks. He stated: "The idea of creating a national bank I do not concur in, because it seems now decided that Congress has not that power (although I sincerely wish they had it exclusively), and because I think there is already a vast redundancy rather than a scarcity of paper medium."

He states further: "The monopoly of a single bank is certainly an evil. The multiplication of them was intended to cure it; but it multiplied an influence of the same character with the first, and completed the supplanting the precious metals by a paper circulation. Between such parties the less we meddle the better."

Jefferson also had strong feelings about printing paper currency. "That paper money has some advantages is admitted. But that its abuses also are inevitable and, by breaking up the measure of value, makes a lottery of all private property, cannot be denied."

Were We Are Today
Now we have a Federal Reserve Bank Chairman who wants even MORE POWER! Chairman Bernanke expressed a desire to block ANY current legislation that would restrict his growing powers. He claims that the congressional efforts would weaken the bank's ability to handle future crisis and could politicize the monetary policy. WHAT?

We believe that the current policies ARE in fact politicized and that they are also an abysmal failure. They have ignored to crack-down on any risky lending practices that led to the financial meltdown. They did quite the opposite!

Bernanke is also opposed to Congress repealing the ban on congressional audits established in 1978. Bernanke wants to operate independently without any "political influence" in the long-term economic interest of the nation. Yeah, sure!

Bernanke still likes the idea that he can determine which financial and corporate institutions are "TOO BIG TO FAIL" and wants even more powers for a tougher oversight of these measures.

Quite the contrary, we should ABOLISH the Federal Reserve Bank! They have overgrown their authority and now want more POWER! That's outrageous! They need to be stopped dead in their tracks – NOW!

Action To Take

Support Ron Paul's initiative to reduce the powers and control of the federal Reserve Bank.
