The word "Progressive" refers to a movement that was first initiated as such in the early 1900s. Teddy Roosevelt and his successor Woodrow Wilson were both Progressives although they were in different political parties! (Wilson was a REAL EVIL President. He passed the Sedition Act and imprisoned anyone who spoke out against the WAR that he promoted!) If you disagreed with him, he silenced your speech! Sound familiar? Listen to Obama's rhetoric to silence the Tea Party movement.
Progressives came into vogue during the 1920s. They believed that Mussolini was a GREAT leader and wanted to capture his methods and bring them to America. The term "totalitarianism" was coined by Mussolini in the 1920s. Many American PHDs and elites during this period idolized Fascism as a means to obtaining their utopian objectives of a collective state. There were many books written during this time in America that supported Fascism, the re-distribution of wealth, and genocide. The LEFT denies this but it is a FACT and can easily be verified! The Left also vehemently denies that their political philosophy is closely aligned with Marxism and this is proven and well documented in the book "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg. However in 1939, Hitler spoiled it for Progressives for a while. Progressives went underground during World War II. However, they re-emerged in the 1950s by infiltrating both political parties. (More successfully in the Democratic Party).
The trigger-happy radicals of the 1960's realized that their "revolution" was NOT succeeding. They openly wanted to overthrow the government. Their bombings and murders weren't meeting their objectives. They couldn't sway Americans to join them via violence. Like the infamous John Brown who tried to free the slaves at Harpers Ferry in 1859, the majority of people did NOT join the radical revolution because the bombings scared them away. Hence, the 60s radicals changed names, changed their strategies, went underground and infiltrated the Democratic Party. Now they called themselves "Democrats" not "Progressives" because Progressive was a dirty word associated with Hitler, Mussolini, and extreme violence.
These underground radicals discovered and trained under Saul Alinsky (Rules for Radicals author) and began to utilize his methods of taking over the government. They also applied Alinsky's Marxist methods to began community organizing and founding organizations like ACORN to help "fix" and alter voting results. (If you can't fight them, join them). It is being investigated that ACORN recently helped win the Senatorial recount in Minnesota by adding fraudulent ballots to the count.
Other radicals joined colleges and universities as teaching staff where they could enjoy freedom of speech and brainwash college students with their radical propaganda. Presently Progressives have a strong foothold in academia and have also infiltrated the Department of Education, National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Education Association. We see them all in full play today in the Obama administration. Obama is a student of Saul Alinsky. He started out as a college professor. There is a popular photograph of Obama as a professor teaching Alinsky's Marxist methods on a chalk board. He claimed to be a "constitutional law professor", but that was never verified as fact. Obama is a Progressive/Marxist! People confuse Socialism with Progressivism. Close, but NOT the same. The Nazis were officially called the "National Socialist Party."
Progressivism is a form of a "diluted" Marxism. Progressives want to change the Constitution gradually a piece at a time so there will be little opposition. They nibble away at our liberties making government bigger with regulations and more departments. Some people have called them "incrementalists". They grab power although it may be unconstitutional. The more they get, the more they want. The ends justify the means. They will do and say anything to get what they want. They have no honor or integrity. Hence, Washington politicians go along with the program. Power corrupts.
Progressives believe that the common man cannot manage himself and needs to be guided by an elite corps. They believe that they know what's good for all. They speak of "Social Justice" or "Environmental Justice." They are destroying freedom slowly - over time. However, they don't see it that way. They actiually believe they know what's right in spite of the fact that history proves otherwise.
Marxism wants revolution in a more violent way. Marxists want to overthrow the government and kill the opposition, as required. Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro are two good examples.
Consider Progressivism as Marxism "lite." No violence, but the net effect is the same - TOTAL government control over your life - regulating everything - including what you can eat, consume, buy, own, and sell. Totalitarianism! Government take over of everything. Sound familiar?
Progressives over time have changed our beliefs towards the Founding Fathers. In the 1970s they wrote several books that discredited the Founding Fathers and claimed that they raped the slaves etc. They also try and pervert American History. Currently, they want to stop teaching American History prior to 1800. This avoids discussing the Founders completely!
Progressives are also responsible for Political Correctness. It helps break-down American traditions and American values as they once were for their newer definitions or deletions!
No matter how you cut it, Progressives are EVIL! They really are trying to "Fundamentally Change America." They think that they can make it into their "Utopia" - whatever that is!
This explains the power grabs that you have seen by the government on banks, car companies, insurance companies, healthcare, Wall Street, home mortgages, and credit companies. It also explains why they want to keep grabbing control via regulations like Cap & Trade. This really is a CANCER that is attacking the very basic fiber of America.

Inflammatory Speech
The President of the United States is supposed to be a leader. Instead, Obama is a divider. His recent remarks regarding the immigration law passed in Arizona illustrate the point. He said "Now suddenly, if you don't have your papers and you took your kid out to get an ice cream, you're gonna be harassed."
Obama's remarks are factually inaccurate, false, and inflammatory. The Arizona law specifically prohibits that behavior. Recall that just a week ago he was telling Americans to be silent and not arouse tensions that may lead to violence. Yet, here he is doing just that!
He's distorting the truth to arouse Democrats and Independents into voting against anyone who supports the Arizona immigration law in the November elections. What he's forgetting to tell you is that it is HIS responsibility to defend the country from INVASION and to protect our borders. He is NOT performing this task and hence, Arizona is desperate for help because there are almost 500,000 ILLEGALS living there. They are stealing the social services and other government entitlements not intended for law breakers.
Obama is deliberately polarizing this country. So are his minions. Here are some recent comments from Nancy Pelosi:
"Who in our country would not want to change a policy of kicking-in doors in the middle of the night and sending a parent away from their families? It must be stopped. What value system is that? I think it's un-American. I think it's un-American. We have to make a change in policy and practice and again, we can't say it enough; the raids must end."
Do you personally know of anyone who has had their doors kicked-down in the middle of the night by the police? Pelosi makes it sound like an everyday occurrence and implies that we are like Nazi Germany. AND THAT'S NOT INFLAMATORY SPEECH??
She too ignores the fact that the Arizona law mirrors the Federal law. The law that the Federal government has ignored to enforce for the past 20 years! The part she got right is that's "un-American" to be here illegally. The fact is that ILLEGALS broke the law and show no respect for it by entering the country through the back door.
These are solid examples of inflammatory speech and they are coming from the "leadership" in Washington. This is un-American! This must stop and it will come November 2010.

Self-government is the Key
The Founding Fathers believed that the key to preserving human freedoms was via local self government. They knew that political power always gravitates towards the center. This was the reason and sole purpose for Our Constitution. It was to prevent big government from taking over. The Founders knew that when power becomes centralized it destroys liberty because it transfers the decision making power away from the individuals to the government "officials." Hence, people loose their freedom to resolve their own problems and end up without a voice in community affairs.
Thomas Jefferson's Opinion
"The way to have good and safe government is not to trust it all to one, but to divide it among the many, distributing to every one exactly the functions he is competent to perform best. Let the national government be entrusted with the defense of the nation, and its foreign relations; the State governments with civil rights, laws, police, and administration of what concerns the State generally; the counties with the local concerns of the counties, and each ward [township] direct the interests within itself. It is by dividing and subdividing these republics, from the great national one down through all its subordinations, until it ends in the administration of every man's farm by himself; by placing under every one what his own eye may superintend, that all will be done for the best. Understanding the Founders
Before you can appreciate today's current government (Congress and the President), it is helpful to have some understanding of the people who actually founded this country. If you understand how they felt and what they thought about the basic principles, you will have a basis to make a strong comparison of where we are today. When you do you will see that we have not made positive progress!
When you start to study and discover the writings of our Founders, it becomes hard not to get a sense of pride that the United States had such outstanding leaders to launch the beginning of what we call America. Our Founders were men of strong character and virtue – unlike what we have in our government today (in either political party).
They believed that people as individuals were all given inalienable natural rights and they included:
"All men are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.
Know Your Liberties
This list is not all inclusive, but it should give you an idea of what YOUR natural rights are. Know what they are so you can tell when government is stealing they from you. Stand up for your rights and remember that the government does NOT give you "human rights" but that you are endowed by your creator of these Natural Rights. Don't be confused with the politician's jargon. They don't give you anything! They take!

The Case of the Mysterious Disappearing Religion

We awake to news that after extraordinary police work, investigators have made an arrest in the attempted car bombing of Times Square in New York. Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani native-turned-naturalized-U.S.-citizen, was taken into custody late last night. He was naturalized last year, and shortly thereafter, made a trip to Peshawar, Pakistan–a hotbed of Islamic terrorist activity and recruitment.
I have read countless reports about the arrest, in newspapers and websites big and small. So far, I have not seen a single mention of his faith. Not a single reference to his being Muslim. We’re left to deduce that by his Pakistani ethnicity and name.
Political correctness has stripped us of our ability to be brutally honest about the nature of the threat we face. It’s not from a bunch of maniacal Catholics or Jews or Hindus or Buddhists. The lethal threat is coming from radical Muslims. Even after September 11, even after repeated terror attacks and attempts here and abroad, we still cannot be truthful and outspoken about it? Pathetic.
This suicidal inability to call the enemy what it is comes straight from the top: the President will not go anywhere near the words “Islam” and “terror” together. His administration has contorted itself into all kinds of politically correct gymnastics to avoid making the connection, going so far as to term acts of terror as “manmade disasters” and the fight against it as “overseas contingency operations.”
He refused to speak the truth about the motivation of Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan, who killed 13 fellow Americans in the name of Islam, and would not make the connection with the Christmas Day bomber, Abdulmutallab. He refused to “jump to conclusions” about what propelled them to try to kill Americans (although he had no problem “jumping to conclusions” about Sgt. Crowley of the Cambridge Police and the Arizona immigration law.)
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg made a ridiculous statement before the arrest, suggesting it could be “someone…that doesn’t like the health care bill.”
Bloomberg’s comment was idiotic, but he’s not the Commander-in-Chief. Obama was notified of the arrest five minutes after midnight. We’ve gotten a statement from his Attorney General, but as of 8:30am ET, still no statement from the Commander-in-Chief.
Unless and until we can call the enemy and what drives him to kill us what they are—Muslims propelled by their religious belief—we cannot and will not win this war."

Telling Us to Shut Up Again!
President Barack Hussein Obama is once again telling Americans to silence their criticisms of his administration. This time it was at a graduation speech at the University of Michigan. He claims that partisan rants and name calling under the guise of legitimate discourse poses a serious danger to America's democracy and could incite "extreme elements" to violence.
Once again Obama is trashing our God-given right to free speech. If we don't agree with HIS brand of politics or don't like HIS Progressive agenda, we are a threat to America! That's BS and we are getting sick and tired of being told to be silent. Last time we looked, this was STILL AMERICA!
We repeat: We are NOT Racists. We are NOT violent. AND, we will NOT be silent any more. Get over it. Mr. President, if we don't like what you're doing to America, we have a right to say so. Martin Luther King said it this way: "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
Get it? We WILL NEVER BE SILENT as long as you continue to destroy our liberties and freedoms with your version of an IMPERIAL PRESIDENCY! This isn't a Fascist or Marxist country yet and we will continue to voice our opinions whether you like it or not!

You feel uncomfortable discussing politics and still feel that you should do something positive to try and help YOUR country. Well, here is the ticket. Seriously, this is Plan "B."
Go to the bookstore or Amazon.com and buy a copy of "The 5,000 Year Leap" by W. Cleon Skousen. Read it and become familiar with what the Founding Fathers believed and fought for to start a new form of government. Once you read this book you will understand just how distorted and corrupt our current government has evolved. With this understanding you will be better equipped to deal with those who don't know the REAL facts.
Get informed about the Founders. Go back to our roots and see what they really wanted the United States to become. Discover the basic principles of freedom that people must understand in order to gain prosperity, freedom, and peace. Gain the knowledge on how to adhere to these beliefs and help make a difference.
It's an easy read and well worth the investment. After you finish reading it, pass the book along to someone else and get them to promise to do the same. It's like a pyramid scheme using a book. The idea is to get as many people as you can to read this book. It has profound significance on your freedoms.
