They say a photo is worth a thousand words. What does this photograph tell you about OUR President's attitude for the office and the people who work for him? Does it convey anything positive to them?
Incidentally, that desk is the Resolute Desk. It was a gift from Queen Victoria. It was made from the timbers of HMS Resolute, an abandoned British ship discovered by an American vessel and returned to the Queen of England as a token of friendship and goodwill. When the ship was retired, Queen Victoria commissioned the desk from William Evenden, Royal Naval Dockyard at Chatham, England, and presented to President Rutherford Hayes in 1880.
Apparently, our "leader" (a term he doesn't demonstrate well), could care less about the history of the desk. He also doesn't show much respect to the people in the room with him. Would you speak with the Chief of Staff, your Chief Economics Adviser, your Senior Adviser, or anyone, with your feet up on the Resolute Desk if YOU held this office?
This posture is disrespectful, especially for public display. He knew the cameraman was present. It shows arrogance, immaturity, and lack of respect or decency. What do you think? Is this a posture you expect from the leader of the free world? Is it insulting to you and all Americans?
Doesn't this show an attitude that he thinks himself better than others? Does it show humility and respect for the office he holds?
You can read a lot in a photograph. Nothing positive can be read in this one. One thing for sure, it shows we made a BIG mistake and we will be paying for it for several generations.

Cap & Trade is Back Again
They never give up. According to the Progressive New York Times, "...blizzards are a result of global warming. These storms are consistent with a heating and cooling planet that will produce more intense weather". Wait a minute. They are telling you that blizzards are caused by a planet that's warming up. Does that make ANY sense to you?
Don't forget Global Warming has been a convenient excuse for Progressives to tax and regulate in order to gain more power. They ignore the facts. They distort the truth. They do NOT want to discuss it. WHY? Because this current weather pattern (multiple blizzards on the East coast) is the death Nell of the Climate Change ideologue. Ever since the Copenhagen conference, Global Warming activists have been hiding from the falsified data their "scientists" used to prove their point. Unfortunately for them, Global Warming is non-verifiable. It is NOT a fact. In fact, there are plenty of scientists who disagree and believe that Global Warming is a hoax.
Cap & Trade is a corrupt ideology (not science) based on government expansion. They (Progressives) got found-out and now they are running scared. Don't be fooled by the lies in the NYT. Their data is fraudulent. The so called hockey stick theory is bogus. Their scientists were caught lying and "fixing" data to promote THEIR cause. Progressives never rely on the truth. The ends justify the means (Saul Alinsky).
They ignore that fact that solar and wind power are NOT the solution either. Both have shortcomings. Neither work efficiently 24/7 and you must rely on traditional power generation for backups. Professor Obama's own words indicated that energy costs would necessarily have to "skyrocket" under his Progressive energy policies.
Speaking of Green Power. ABC News reported that a bulk of the 80% of the Green Jobs created from the Stimulus bill all went to CHINA! How's that for a Green Policy? Do you STILL TRUST a Progressive?
Action To Take
When Congress begins to revitalize Cap & Trade, let them know we don't want it.

Tea Party Power?
Michigan's 8 term Congressman Vernon Ehlers (R, MI) has announced that he will not seek re-election in the upcoming mid-term elections. WHY? It might be because Tea Party favorite Justin Amash (R) had launched a primary bid against Congressman Ehlers.
“While I regret leaving when so much more needs to be done, I know it is time for me to step down,” the 76-year-old congressman said. “I am in good health, but I recognize that I should complete this chapter of my life. I look forward to spending more time with my wife and my family.”
Ehlers, who has been in elective office since 1975, serves on the House committees on Education and Labor; Science and Technology; and Transportation and Infrastructure
First-term state Represenative. Justin Amash, a favorite with the local Tea Party activists, announced Tuesday that he will run for the seat. Local activist Michael Van Kleeck has also filed to run as a Republican.
Other names being floated as possible candidates include state Sen. Bill Hardiman, of Kent County; Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, who is currently running for lieutenant goovernor but has expressed interest in the seat in the past; 2002 gubernatorial candidate and former Lt. Gov. Dick Posthumus; and state Sen. Mark Jansen, who represents parts of Kent County.

It's Time to Step Up
Glenn Beck has decided for a new approach to helping Americans get their government back on track. He is holding an "American Revival." Here is what he says about it:
"But here it is. The American Revival. Announcing today tickets go on sale for Insiders on Wednesday. This is an eight hour all day event and it's going to be happening in two different places. These are the first two. They may be the last two. I don't know. Everybody is going to talk to you this spring and summer and fall about politics and the right candidate and the tea parties are teaching you how to get involved and how to have your own, you know, grassroots effort. I will tell you that I don't know, I don't know why I feel so strongly on this, but I feel strongly. I felt like we needed to leapfrog that because I think that is a waste of time in many ways. I mean, I don't say, you know, you've got to be involved and you've got to, you know, do all those things. But the only thing that's really going to save our country is to reconnect with the truth. The truth of who we are, where we came from, what the truth is on the economy, and you are certainly not going to get that. You are not going to get that anywhere. There are 20 different ways this country and the world, the global economic situation can change overnight. 20 different ways. And they are all likely. You must prepare yourself. Right now everybody's talking about charity, we've got to get more charity, we've got to get more charity, Obama's, you know, trying to teach us how to be charitable. You know how we are charitable? We're the most charitable people on the planet. Do you know why? Because we're the richest people on the planet and we have personal responsibility. Because of the Constitution we can go and we can live our dreams, we can create. We can be a slug or we can be Bill Gates. If it wasn't for the Constitution, how many vaccines wouldn't be funded today because of Bill Gates? If it wasn't for the Constitution, could he have done what he did any place else? Could he have become that rich and given this much money to charity? How about the Huntsman cancer center? Because of the Constitution this man could become wealthy and then you get to choose. You want to do AIDS research, Haiti, you want to, you know, knit socks, whatever. It's up to you. It is an eight hour event. You and I on stage with three different experts. David Barton is going to be the first one and we're going to talk about the meaning of faith in America. All the lies that you have been told, that this isn't a nation of faith, that religion played no role. I'm you will be stunned when you learn and see the real history that is no longer taught. Hope. Hope comes from the truth. And you don't have the truth, you have false hope and that's what we have now. David Buckner will be joining me on stage to talk a little bit about the truth of the economy and how do you actually prepare because we need leaders. We need people that have something left to be able to lead us out. And charity. Faith, hope and charity. Charity comes from the individual. You do any kind of charity you want. You want to be charitable? Understand the Constitution. Judge Napolitano is going to be joining me for the third part of it and then you and I are going to have a talk afterwards. It's an eight hour event. You better bring a pencil. March 27th is the first event. It's at UCF Arena in Orlando. March 27th, UCF Arena. Then the Jobbing arena in Phoenix April 10th. Those are the only two days, if nobody comes those will be the only two dates. But those are the two dates that we have now. Orlando, UCF Arena, March 27th. April 10th at the jobbing arena in Phoenix. You can go to GlennBeck.com for all the details and tickets. Presale is this Wednesday at the Insider. Public sale starts a week from today, Monday, the 15th. And I want you to know we're not charging $500 a seat. It's usual ticket price, is it usual ticket pricing? Is that what we finally decided? Yeah. I wanted to make it as cheap as we could but then I was making all these things on stage more and more expensive and so we have usual ticket pricing. It's what we normally charge for a 90 minute show. This is an eight hour experience all day and you are going to, you come out with a binder full of stuff. It is really for the serious. If you are serious about, I want to be a leader in America, I know that we're unsustainable, I know that we have problems here and I can't sit by idly and tell my grandkids I did nothing. If you really want to learn and fix it, I have a direction for you. I'd like you to spend the day with me and commit yourself to reviving America. An American revival, details at GlennBeck.com".

Green Power and Green Jobs
The big selling point on ANYTHING GREEN is always savings. You will save money and you will save planet earth.
Example 1: Take solar panels for your home. The claim is that you'll save 50% on your electric bill. Let's do the math to see if that assumption is true. The average home's electric bill is approximately $100 per month. A solar panel installation on a single family home runs about $30,000 to $40,000.
A 50 % savings on $100 per month is $50 per month or $600 savings each year. That will take you 58 years to break even! But wait. There's bad news. The average life of a solar panel is 20-30 years. So you will have to buy replacement solar panels on the half-way point of breaking even! What a deal!
Example 2: What about electric cars? Same sales pitch for Green Energy. Expensive, but in the long-run savings will be huge. Forget that they have a limited range and there is no way to charge if you run out. But you will save so much money on gasoline. OH REALLY? You won't make-back the extra money you spent unless there is a major break-through in battery technology. The pay-back time for electric vehicles is about 15 years. For the Chevy Volt, the payback time is 19 years. Imagine owning and using the same car for 19 years! How many 15 – 19 year old cars do you see on the road today?
Example 3: What about hybrids? If 1/3 of all new car sales were hybrids, our savings would be 200,000 barrels of oil per day or 1% of the nation's current oil demand. That's not even worth considering. Humm… not too tempting.
So forget that it takes forever to get pay-back. Remember, you'll always feel good about going green because you are saving the planet (even though you paid top dollar to go Green).
Green Jobs
Do you really think that the United States can make solar panels cheaper than China or some other third world country in this global economy? You're dreaming. Will there be a new discovery in batteries soon? Unlikely. Scientists have been working on batteries for years. NADA! There will be Green Jobs, but they won't be here! So do what you have to do. Just be realistic if you decide to go Green. But don't be fooled when the government tells you that this is the solution.
