Censorship Lives!

On August 11, 2009, Jon Klein, the President of CNN had this to say "Complex issues require world class reporting... talk radio hosts too often add to the noise... what they say is all too predictable."

I guess that explains why CNN has banned any coverage from conservative talk radio hosts on their network. It's the easy way to silence a difference of opinion. How's that for fair and balanced?

This sounds like Klein is following the example set by Hugo Chavez, Venezuela's dictator. Chavez recently shut down 34 radio and TV stations because he didn't like their opposing views of his administration. Also, another example of a fair and balanced approach to dissent. So much for freedom in Venezuela.

Wake UP Americans
Brave New Word is coming sooner than later America! CNN is the first network openly begin this policy of suppressing dissenters. Next, the government will encourage shutting down talk radio stations.

Action To Take
Contact CNN and let them know you disagree with this blatant censorship of free speech!

Go To A Town Meeting

What to Do At a Town Meeting
First, it is important to attend a town meeting if your representative schedules one. We need to see people who care about healthcare at these meetings. Here are some rules to follow:
  • Be courteous. Don't be rude. Speak in normal tones no matter how angry you are
  • Be prepared. Have your questions written down and be able to read them
  • Be patient and wait for your turn
  • Don't be put off. Express yourself clearly. Don't let anyone interrupt you when you have the floor
  • Don't be intimidated by others

What to Ask at A Town Meeting
Here are several sample questions you might consider asking:
  • Would you and your family drop your existing medical coverage and go to the government's single pay system that you are proposing for all of us?

  • President Obama said at the New Hampshire town meeting that the AARP is "on board" with his healthcare plan. However, a representative of the AARP said on TV that they had not endorsed the current legislation. Which one was correct?

  • Ezekiel Emanuel (Obama's advisor) advocated no healthcare or treatment for people with dementia. Do you advocate this position also? Why/Why not?

  • Isn't this government healthcare program a re-distribution of healthcare? Why/Why not?

  • Is the government behind the advertisements on Craig's List to help pass the healthcare bill while earning $600 per week? If not, who's is paying for this?

  • Are the so called "death panels" in the current legislation or out of the legislation. What is your position on them?

  • Abortion is not mentioned in HR 3200. Doesn't that leave the door opened to be able to add it when the government controllers establish the regulations? Will you guarantee that abortions will NOT be paid for in their legislation? Why / Why Not?

  • How is it possible to add 50 million new patients (including illegal aliens) and not add new doctors and new nurses? Won't this force rationing of health care and won't it dramatically affect senior citizens.

  • Why isn't there more funding to help stop fraud? Medicare and Medicate have serious problems with fraud and could use more funding.

  • The CBO (Congressional Budget Office) estimates that the bill will cost 1 trillion dollars. How will we pay for this legislation without adding to the deficit? Didn't the President promise NOT to raise taxes?

Above all, attend and show solidarity!

More Insults!

California is truly the land of fruit and nuts. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi resides there representing citizens in the Bay Area of San Francisco.

Yesterday she took the liberty of free speech (1st Amendment) to insult and demean the heartland of America by saying that the dissenters of healthcare who voice their opinions and protest at town meetings are "Un-American." She also previously claimed that these unruly people are ..."carrying Swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare."

Have you seen a lot of Nazi symbols flashing around these meetings shown on national TV? If this were true, wouldn't the media be showing it? Is she lying again? Remember Pelosy claimed that the CIA lies to Congress all the time? Why weren't her allegations ever investigated? Was the CIA lying, or was Nancy Pelosi? Will we ever know?

Pelosi's "un-Americans" are the boisterous angry people who disrupt town hall meetings on healthcare. You know, the people who have sons in wheel chairs, or raise questions like "will Congress use the same health plan as the rest of us?", or senior citizens who carry hand made signs about healthcare. She wasn't referring to the SEUI thugs who beat up people, or who protest using nicely printed protest signs. No, she was directing her comments to the teabaggers (like us) instead. We are the traditionalists who believe in the Constitution, not in totalitarianism.

As third in line to be the President, she actually believes that she knows what's good for all of us - better than we do. If we disagree with her parties Progressive (elitist) policies and voice dissent, she and her fellow ideologues start name calling. We have been referred to as Republican Zealots, extremists, mobs, teabaggers, and so on. Any label to neutralize us. Our opinions don't count. We don't know what good for us. She does, but we don't.

President Obama is finally distancing himself from her. He disagrees with Nancy's un-American remarks. Smart man.

Speaker Pelosi, after insulting millions of Americans, don't we have a right to be insulted and offended by your remarks and accusations? This is STILL America!

Seniors Take Warning

The AARP supports Obama's healthcare program. A representative appeared last week on TV and claimed that HR 3200 is OK for seniors. Apparently, they haven't read the bill, or there's something going on behind the scenes.

After perusing the AARP web site, it was discovered that they have strong ties to the SEIU (Service Employees International Union)! They make several positive references to the SEIU. They must be good buddies because the AARP site has lots of good things to say about them. You know who they are, they are the alleged thugs who beat up an anti-Obama healthcare guy at the St. Louis Town Hall Meeting. SEIU is a special interest group that have ties with ACORN! Hummm.... , isn't ACORN the organization that is suspected of racketeering and falsifying election registrations?

1st Action To Take
Here are some recommended actions to take:

  • Don't join AARP
  • If you are a member, resign from the organization. Before you do however, let them know in writing why you are disaffiliating with them.
  • Tell other friends and seniors about AARP supports the SEIU and probably ACORN.
2nd Action to Take
Hand write your senators to vote "NO" on HR 3200. Mail it to them using Snail mail to their offices.

Here is a sample letter:

Dear Senator

As a senior citizen I am deeply concerned about current legislation (HR 3200) regarding government health care reform. It represents an intrusive expansion of government, into what I consider a private matter. The government has no right or any business intervening into patient-doctor decisions.

Please DO NOT support this bill for the following reasons:

* Our government cannot sustain giant budget deficits and an increase in spending beyond its present commitments
* The current legislation is funded and financed by huge cuts in Medicare
* CBO estimated costs are over one Trillion dollars for this bill
* There are large tax increases in the proposed bill, as follows:
**** 8% Tax on employers
**** $8.2 Billion dollar tax on health care savings accounts
**** CBO says workers would pay $163 Billion dollars in lost wages
**** 2.5% tax on people without “acceptable health care coverage”
**** $2 Billion dollars on “Comparative Effectiveness Research Tax”

Supporting this bill is really unfeasible. It is unfair to all US citizens – especially seniors. Even President Obama said we are out of money! If passed, this breaks Obama’s pledge of no new taxes. You don’t want to support that and have it on your voting record – do you?

Senator, you must vote “No” on this legislation.

Regards,

Why hand write the letter? It has more impact than email!

Call Out The Goons

Violence as an Answer
Kenneth Gladney a young African American was beaten by at least three alleged SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members at a town hall meeting in St. Louis. He was distributing anti-ObamaCare items and American flags. Actually the ruffians are "alleged" members of the SEIU, because they were all wearing SEIU tee shirts. Coincidence? I haven't seen those shirts available at the GAP have you? Hummm... , I wonder where you can get one? Darn, maybe you have to join the union?

Apparently this new tactic is how the Obamabots are going to tackle the protests and outrage that everyday people have when trying to get their representatives to answer some basic questions about government healthcare. Maybe if they beat up and scare enough people the opposition will stop asking questions. Between that and keeping an "Enemies List" that should help a lot! Then Congress can pass ObamaCare without any further dissent. That seems fair enough - HUH? Call out the goons when someone has a different opinion. That sounds a lot like Chicago politics!

Maybe that's the way they do it in Chicago, but violence IS NOT THE ANSWER to honest differences of opinion!

New Tactics From Congress
The latest innovation on how to avoid embarrassment at town meetings by Congress is to avoid having a face-to-face meeting with constituents altogether. Just avoid facing the people who put you in office. This only permits a fraction of the people who WANT TO ATTEND SUCH A MEETING! Reduce the number of participants. That's a GREAT IDEA. And, you don't have to call out the goons which attract too much negative attention.

For Example: North Carolina's Congressman Heath Shuler of the 11th District has decided to take the (Cowards) "safe way" out by having two teleconferences with his constituents instead of meeting with them. That way they can cut you off any time they want - especially if they think you are part of the "MOB" of Republican Extremists! Besides, they won't have to look at the Swastikas that Nancy Pelosi mentioned recently!

Message for Congressman Shuler
Enjoy your next year in office. It will be your lame duck year. Mid-term elections are next year and your constituents (the people you are excluding from meeting with you) have a solution to the problem. VOTE YOUR SORRY FACE OUT OF OFFICE!! Raise all the money you want from special interest groups. Voters are outraged with your voting record - especially supporting the Cap and Trade bill!!

Listen To The Music Congressman
Lah, lah, lah, lah... lah, lah, lah, lah... hey, hey... good bye!
