Illegal Search & Seizure
The fourth Amendment clearly states that it's against the law to perform illegal searches or to seize personal property. The 4th Amendment states:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
Ohio Police Violate the 4th!
In a recent Town Hall meeting in Ohio, Congressman Steve Chabot (R, OH) asked the police to grab all cameras and cell phones from his constituents. The police complied so as to "prevent an embarrassing YouTube video from making the rounds." However, the left-wing media was allowed to photograph and film the whole event. Perplexed? Don't be! This is a violation of a citizens RIGHTS granted by the US Constitution!
There is no law that disallows the video recording or photographing of a public event held in a public building. This action also violates the 1st Amendment (Free speech).
Action To Take
Americans need to be concerned about these actions! At the very least, the police should be charged for civil rights violations and the Congressman should be charged for ethics violations! The Citizens in Congressman Chabot's District should seriously consider recalling him from office! This incident should not go unpunished! These individuals need to all be held accountable! DEMAND IT!
