Time to Act...

When the Congress approved the US Constitution in 1788, two great leaders and contributors had this to say about it:

George Washington
"a government of the people; that is to say, a government in which all power is derived from and, at stated periods, reverts to them; and ... in its operation, it is purely a government of laws made and executed by the fair substitutes of the people alone... It is clear to my conception that no government before introduced among mankind ever contained so many checks and such efficacious restraints to prevent it from degenerating into any species of oppression."

Thomas Jefferson
"The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State."

Constitution Assumptions
The underlying basis for the Constitution were the following:

1. It recognizes the existence of Natural Law given to all men.

2. It is based on the principle that the citizens if this Republic MUST be moral and virtuous.

3. It acknowledges that the people are the true sovereigns in a republican form of government.

4. The Constitution assumed that America's economy would function under a free-market economy, recognizing and protecting property rights.

Government Today
When we look at our government today, we see that things are quite different than originally designed. These changes have taken place slowly over time. However, under the current administration, change is being accelerated at a record pace. It seems Obama is trying to "fundamentally change America" to the vision of the Progressives. Who died and gave them the POWER?

Consider these facts about the government under Obama;

* It now controls 70% of the nation's economy
* It now owns and controls the automobile industry
* It controls healthcare
* It controls the banking and financial industry
* It now decides who's too big to fail (decided by Tax cheat Tim Geithner)
* It controls all student loans
* It controls over 50% of all home mortgages in the USA

To make matters worse, the Obama White House is pushing to give the FBI more power to search your personal records without a court order. In addition, the White House has consistently tried to attack the 1st Amendment and is trying like crazy to take control over the Internet with the so-called Cyber Security Act which allows Obama to shut-down the Internet for 4 months.

The White House is currently entertaining AMNESTY for ILLEGALS by bypassing Congress altogether!

73% of Americans say that the government is becoming too powerful. And yet, it keeps grabbing more power every chance it has. Take for example, the secret gold tax which was attached to the Healthcare bill. It allows the IRS to delve into any transactions involving precious metals that cost over $600. Or how about the hidden revision of the Freedom of Information Act which allows the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to exempt you from requesting any information regarding their activities. Or how about giving the Secretary of the Treasury full power to take over ANY bank HE wants because he (Geithener) has decided it's too big to fail or it's too risky to continue in business.

These are just a few of the activities performed by the Obama administration. AND YOU THOUGHT GEORGE BUSH WAS BAD? Your liberties and personal freedoms are dissolving before you very eyes. And yet, Americans sit back and just go about their everyday lives like it won't affect them or their personal lives.

There is NOTHING in the CONSTITUTION that gives the President (or his Czars) of the United States this kind of power. Why doesn't someone challenge him? Why do Americans sit by and just keep watching. Isn't that what happened to Germany in the late 1930s?

At what point does this take-over get called something else? When it's too late? This ISN'T AMERICA any more! Don't let it fall to a tyrannical BIG GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER. Then it will be too late for all of us.

Action To Take
There is a rally on August 28, 2010 in Washington, DC. Attend the rally and show your support of the Constitution. Unite to help save freedom. Become a Patriot. See you there...
