Repeal the Death Tax

You can do something to help Seniors and their families. Currently the DEMs have INCREASED the Death Tax (they call it the "Estate Tax"). This tax is unfair because it taxes money that has already been taxed! It punishes people who save over a lifetime by taxing their holdings AFTER they die. Dead people can't fight back, but you can!

2nd Amendment Attack

White House Press Secretary Carney announced that Obama will sign the United Nations Small Arms Treaty this summer - when Congress in out on recess. Carney said:

"We believe it’s in the interest of the United States. While we look forward to signing the treaty, there are remaining translation issues that need to be resolved."

What Carney forgot to mention is that by signing this treaty, Obama is relinquishing United States sovereignty and is diminishing the 2nd Amendment. This is step one to further regulate guns in the US and infringes on our God given rights as granted in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

The UN Treaty regulates the international sale and transfer of ALL conventional weapons in the WORLD! This includes small arms which includes: handguns, rifles, and shotguns. The UN control would probably demand gun registration as a first step in America. That gives-up your rights and put it into the hands of foreign despots and foreign dictators.

The next step is to have the US Senate ratify it. Once ratified, the only way to get rid of it is by a Constitutional amendment, which is unlikely. In other words, if passed, we're stuck with it.

Action To Take
Contact your US Senators and tell them NOT to support this treaty because it attacks the 2nd Amendment.

The STOP the IRS Bill

Your Congress seems to be listening this time. They have written a 2 page bill that HALTS the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from policing the "Affordable Health Care Act." Here is the entire bill which you should DEMAND that your representatives support;

A BILL
To prohibit the Secretary of the Treasury from enforcing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013’’.

SEC. 2. FINDINGS
Congress finds the following:

1. On May 10, 2013, the Internal Revenue Service admitted that it singled out advocacy groups, based on ideology, seeking tax-exempt status.
2. This action raises pertinent questions about the agency’s ability to implement and oversee Public Law 111–148 and Public Law 111–152.
3. This action could be an indication of future Internal Revenue Service abuses in relation to Public Law 111–148 and Public Law 111–152 given that it is their responsibility to enforce a key provision, the individual mandate.
4. Americans accept the principle that patients, families, and doctors should be making medical decisions, not the Federal Government.

SEC. 3. PROHIBITING ENFORCEMENT OF PPACA AND HCERA.
The Secretary of the Treasury, or any delegate of the Secretary, shall not implement or enforce any provisions of or amendments made by Public Law 111–148 or 111–152.

Call, write, or email your representatives today. They will vote on this before the August recess. Tell them to vote "YES" on HR 2009.

More Abuse of Power

Last week Obama "decided" not to implement the employer mandate in the Affordable Health Care law. That's nice, and it's also ILLEGAL! The President can't pick and choose which laws he likes and dislikes or which parts to enforce or not.

Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution states that the president "shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed." This is his job description. Nowhere does it give him the authority to discriminate one way or the other. It's the LAW!

This part of the Constitution LIMITS presidential power and Obama has abused it once again. So where is Congress as our watchdog? The Affordable Health Care Act has NO PROVISIONS to allow the president to suspend, delay, or amend the law.

Action To Take
Demand that your representatives challenge Obama on this abuse of power. They need to earn their money by working for us for a change. If you don't take any action, then you're condoning Congressional bad behavior.

The Egyptians Get It!

The people of Egypt do not want the Muslim Brotherhood in charge of their country. Hence, the military action that deposed another despot.

Gun Permits Increase

We all know that firearm sales are at an all-time record, thanks to the "Anti-Gunner" crowd in government and elsewhere. The Wall Street Journal reported that that's not the only think that has shown a tremendous rise. More and more Americans are getting their own concealed-carry permits.

Here are a few statistics that bear this out:

• A dozen states including Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin have already seen an 18% increase in carry permits this year. That's more than double since 2007.
• Ohio is predicted to double it's pace with over 65,000 new permits this year. (That's 3 times as many as in  2007).
• Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wyoming have already matched their totals from last year and still have a half year to go.
• Florida has granted more than 173,000 new permits (up 17% from last year) and twice as many as 5 years ago.

We can thank the Obama Administration for these increases. They have made firearms dealers the most successful in sales in American history.
