Don't Rely on Recommendations
Every time we have elections, we have political endorsements coming from a variety of sources, including the National Rifle Association (NRA) and all major trade unions. Whether their intentions are meant to be good, remains to be seen.
For example, the NRA sends-out mailings and emails to their members telling them how to vote on the mid-term elections. In North Carolina, District 11, Congressman Heath Shuler (D) is running for re-election against newcomer Jeff Miller (R, NC). The NRA wants Shuler re-elected.
THAT'S BAD FOR AMERICA! Shuler votes as a so-called "Blue-Dog" Democrat. He has voted to protect gun rights in a gun friendly state. So, the NRA supports Shuler JUST for this reason alone. They give no consideration to the new comer because he has no voting record.
Shame on the NRA. They didn't do their homework! What voters need to also know is that Shuler is Nancy Pelosi's pet "pit bull." He votes anyway Nancy Pelosi tells him how to vote because he's on her leash. He votes "against" his party only after the vote is guaranteed to pass without his vote. Consequently, he appears to be on the side of his constituents. This is a blatant lie. He is a Progressive Democrat and supports the Obama policies. He voted to increase taxes on energy. Shuler would have voted for the Stimulus and Bailouts if his vote was needed. Don't be fooled by deceptive recommendations. He is misleading his voters by pretending to be on their side while supporting DEMs behind closed doors. THAT'S DISHONEST!
In another example of BAD endorsements, trade unions typically "encourage" their memberships to always vote straight Democratic. Why? Because the DEMs give favors to unions as one of their favorite special interest groups. A clear example of this is in ObamaCare where unions are given special dispensation for their "Cadillac" health plans without paying penalties - like the rest of us do. Unions in-turn, take membership fees and donate large "chunks" of membership fees and donate them to the Democratic Party during elections.
It's an incestuous relationship and is corrupt. It has to stop.
Know Before You Vote
It is YOUR responsibility to learn about your candidates before you pull the lever. Don't just take the recommendations given by the political hacks who have a vested interest. Think for yourself. Don't just vote for a candidate because you were told to vote for someone.
