2010 Omnibus Bill

It’s unbelievable! But Congress has just created a new spending bill for the 2010 fiscal year. The total for the new bill is $ 1.5 Trillion dollars! It is actually worse than the 2009 Omnibus bill, if you can believe it! Congress has not learned anything from their experience in Town Hall meetings last summer.

The new bill spends like we have no debt. Here are a few examples of the earmarks in the new Omnibus bill:
  • $2.9 Billion dollars for surgery in outer space.
  • $30,000 for the Woodstock Festival.
  • $3.4 Million for the Hawaiian bus program.
  • $500,000 for The Botanical Research Institute in Texas to enhance collections.
All in all, Congress wastes over $4.3 Billion dollars on pork. These earmark programs are unneeded, unwanted, and unnecessary. Why do politicians keep believing that the national debt is nothing to worry about? Do you want to keep these people in office any longer? Should they remain in office spending like this with our national debt destroying our country?

Action To Take
Let Congress know that you are concerned about our current debt. Tell them that the new Omnibus bill wastes too much in your tax money.
