Arrogance of Power

Our government now thinks that it has the power to tell American citizens that they have to buy ObamaCare insurance or face fines or jail time! Purchase of government healthcare will be mandatory. This is a first (a precedent) and this is also unconstitutional. Proponents claim that they do in fact have the power to do so and present the following argument. They say that if states can regulate citizens and “force” them to buy car insurance, that they too can “force” YOU to buy government healthcare. However, this is a comparison of apples and oranges (unlike items). Here’s why; States can indeed obligate you to buy car insurance if YOU CHOOSE to drive a car. However, you may also elect not to drive a vehicle as well – thus giving you a CHOICE to buy or not to buy car insurance. Consequently, you are NOT forced into buying anything.

The government healthcare proponents argue it’s the same thing with government healthcare. But they are forgetting one major thing. We are not offered ANY choice whatsoever. We can either buy government health insurance or face cash fines OR imprisonment for non-compliance. THIS IS NOT A CHOICE!!

The government cannot force you to buy their health insurance because this is unconstitutional. It deprives you of your liberties and freedom of choice. This is nothing more than a government takeover of YOUR healthcare. Where does the Constitution grant this power? It does NOT!

Since Congress and the President are ignoring the majority of Americans and what we REALLY want, why should we recognize them? Seriously! What would the government do if the majority of its citizenry refused to obey or recognize their “authority” to pass this legislation? If Congress can ignore its own citizens, why can’t the citizens ignore Congress? Why go along with this tyrannical legislation when we don’t want it, don’t like it, or don’t believe it to be legal? What would happen if we openly ignored their threats? If we all offered total disobedience, what could they do? Would they order Marshall Law to enforce it? The government is on the record for ignoring the Federal Drug laws with regards to Marijuana in California. Citizens have ignored that law. Maybe we should find out!

The government has no right whatsoever, to regulate our bodies or our health. This is just another case of Social Justice being carried to extreme. What about our FREEDOMS?
