The latest polls indicate that Scott Brown is ahead of Martha Coakley by 9 percentage points. Two weeks ago he was trailing her by over 5 points. That's a remarkable change in such a brief time. Coakley's campaign is in a tailspin that won't stop.
Unfortunately Massachusetts voters have to face bad weather today (snow). This usually cuts-down the number who turn-out at the polls. Only time will tell. Results are expected this evening after the polls close at 8:00 PM EST.
This is history in the making. It's ironic that the progressive state (commonwealth) of Massachusetts may actually determine the fate of the government-forced healthcare program.
Keep your fingers crossed and pray for Scott Brown to win. This would end the DEMs super majority in the United States Senate and give Congress back a system of check-and-balances.
