Cap & Trade - America's Death Knell

The US Senate is still arguing the details on the re-named Cap & Trade bill (now the American Power Act). Why the name change? Well Americans got smart about Cap & Trade and realized that it was BAD. So Congress re-named it to fool us once more.

Let's be blunt. If we give the government the power to regulate what THEY DEEM toxic, we will all be paying to breathe. They want to regulate the emission of carbon dioxide. You know, that's what we all exhale.

Obama himself, is on the record for stating that under his method of Cap & Trade (carbon regulation), our energy bills would "skyrocket." Gee that makes sense under these poor economic times. So what is this REALLY all about? POWER and CONTROL over YOUR lives Americans. It's also about giving up YOUR freedoms and liberties to have the government telling you what you can and cannot do in your daily lives. That's the Progressive agenda.

If this "Act" passes, you will see the government in control of over 70% of the economy! Read that again - 70% control of the economy by the government. That's not exactly what the Founding Fathers had in mind now is it?

If you haven't taken the time to find out about the "America Power Act" then shame on you. If you own a house, you will be forced to have the government inspect it - if you want to sell it. You pay for the government inspection - of course. If your house is NOT energy efficient, you will not be able to sell it unless you bring it up to their energy standards. This could include replacing you furnace and other expensive things - just to be able to try and sell it.

You will have a new light meter installed on your dwelling. If you use what the government deems too much energy, you will be taxed at a higher rate of consumption. And you thought it was a good idea letting Congress tell you to install flourescent lights in your house. Once they get their foot in the door, you can expect other controls over YOUR life.

The New energy Act will tax energy on everything! Don't expect prices to remain where they are for goods and commodities made in the USA. Everything will cost more! Everything!

Where do the taxes go that are raised from this wonderful Power Act? They go to foreign countries to bring them up to our standards of living. What will this do to OUR standard of living? It will lower it. America will become a third world country!
