The Gulf Oil spill demonstrates Obama's lack of executive experience and leadership abilities. While campaigning in 2008 Obama was asked about his qualifications to become President of the United States. He stated "Well, I've run my Senate office, and I've run this campaign." Hindsight now tells us that he was truly under qualified for the task at hand to lead the free world. When he was criticized that he lacked experience and that Sarah Palin had more executive experience than he had Obama said this:
"Governor Palin's town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees. We have got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So, I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute, I think, has been made clear over the last couple of years."
Obama ignored Palin's experience as Alaskan governor which was considerably bigger than his campaign. He equated running a political campaign to that of being a governor. POOR JUDGEMENT Huh?
Recently he said about the Gulf Oil spill : "I don't sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick."
Let's face it. We Americans made a BIG mistake electing an under qualified candidate and now we are paying for that mistake with the biggest environmental disaster in the history of the US! He was slow to react and slow to respond. He's treating this disaster like a political event - not the real tragedy it is! We put a small-time politician in a BIG-TIME position!
Obama is clueless. He cannot understand the scope and impact he has helped expand and allowed to get worse. Good intentions and finger pointing won't make this situation go away. We need leadership, but we aren't getting it. Obama's lackadaisical attitude towards this shows his inexperience and immaturity.
God help us all with him in charge for over two more years!
