Government Control of the Internet?
Is the Internet at risk? That's what Senator Joe Leiberman (I, CT) wants to have. The President of the USA will have the power (without any Congressional over site) to close down any business who does not comply with his wishes. It also allows the President to take control over the Internet and shut it down for up to 90 days.
Don't let the Senate Do This
Currently this bill is still being worked on in the US Senate. It is NOT too late to stop it. However YOU need to take immediate action. You must phone or contact your US senator and tell them to vote "NO" on this bill because it gives too much unilateral control in one man's hands. In a word, this bill is TYRANNICAL! It attacks the Constitution and the First Amendment (Free Speech).
Without any rhyme or reason, the President can shut-down a company for not complying with his demands or he can shut down the Internet and not have to give Congress any reason whatsoever.
This is NO JOKE
If you care about this freedom, then you need to defend it! Act now or don't complain when the Internet goes away!
