20 Reasons Not to Vote for Santorum

Liar, Liar
Politicians are liars. We should know this by now. However, some people still need convincing. We have stated that the top three running for the the GOP candidacy are NOT Conservatives. Today's focus is on Rick Santorum who claims to be a true Conservative - as opposed to Romney.

Not What He Says - What He Does
Santorum gives everyone the impression that he is for small government and is a true Conservative. NOT! If you look at Santorum's record, it's clear that he is NOT what he says that he is.

His Voting Record
Here are some highlights of Rick Santorum's voting record while he was in office. Santorum voted for the following:
  • to allow the sale of supercomputers to China!

  • to require that federal bureaucrats get the same pay raises as uniformed military.

  • AGAINST the National Right to Work Act.

  • twice in favor of FedEx unionization.

  • for raising the minumum wage six times!

  • for a Federal mandate to allow convicted felons the right to vote in Federal elections while in prison.

  • for the Specter “backup plan” to allow campaign finance reform to survive if portions of the bill were found unconstitutional.

  • to mandate discounted broadcast times for politicians.

  • to allow illegal immigrants to receive the earned income credit before becoming citizens.

  • against a flat tax. This is because he LOVES pork spending!

  • twice for Internet taxes.

  • to increase tobacco taxes to pay for an $8 billion increase in child healh insurance.

  • to allow welfare to a minor who had a child out of wedlock and who resided with an adult who was on welfare within the previous two years.

  • sponsored An amendment to increase Amtrak funds by $550 million.

  • against food stamp reform.

  • against Medicaid reform.

  • against transferring $20 million from Americorps to veterans.

  • to allow states to impose health care mandates that are stricter than proposed new Federal mandates, but not weaker.

  • to increase spending for the Department of Education by $3.1 billion.

  • against a 10% cut in the budget for National Endowment for the Arts.

  • Voted for the Patriot Act.

  • Supports NDAA

Question
Do you still believe his rhetoric being spewed on his campaign trail? Santorum is NOT a Conservative. He's a Big Government Progressive. This is what we already have in Washington. He's part of the problem - not a solution!!

Don't vote for Santorum if you're a Conservative!!
