What Ammo Shortage?

In case you haven't noticed, the law of supply and demand is working as predicted here in the United States. Case in point, forearm ammunition. Since the political gun-grabbing fanatics have come out of the woodwork, lawful citizens across the nation are buying guns and ammunition in record numbers whenever they can find what they want. Often, they pay extremely high prices for these items because there is a short supply forcing prices to rise.

In part, we can thank Janet Napolitano (Director of Homeland Security [DHS]) for purchasing outrageous quantities of several popular calibers of ammunition. However she alone is NOT the reason for the ammo shortages.

It was reported that in New York City at a Dicks Sporting Goods store, hundreds of people lined-up before the store opened on the day that they received new shipments of ammunition. Within 4 hours they were sold out! This is happening all across the USA. Citizens are buying ammunition as fast as they can get it. This helps contribute to the shortages.

The National Rifle Association (or the infamous "NRA") reports that gun sales have been averaging over 1 million firearms per month. This is an all time new record for gun sales. It seems that law-abiding folks are exercising their right to buy firearms now before gun banning politicians eliminate their freedom to do so. New York City, the state of Connecticut, and Colorado are good examples of how politicians are literally destroying the 2nd Amendment by restricting and banning hundreds of types of firearms all in the name of "safety."

American ammunition manufacturers are working three shifts a day to try and keep up with demand. So far, they have been unable to cope with this unprecedented situation. It may never end as long as Obama and the Progressives/Marxists keep coming after the guns.

One Thing To Remember
Politicians who are anxious to register and confiscate (for example: Bloomberg of NY) your firearms are in fact elected by the people. It's your job to UN-ELECT these people and let them know that the 2nd Amendment remains a stalwart RIGHT of all citizens. Remember which politicians want to take-away your rights and show them your discontent in the 2012 elections! Let your friends and family know what these people are so their votes can remove them from office.
