Obama’s Public Lies Cover Up IRS Corruption

"President’s assertion that there is “not a smidgen” of corruption is laughable as former IRS head Lois Lerner pleads the 5th to avoid telling the American public the truth.
(Alexandria, Virginia) – 60 Plus Association Chairman Jim Martin, leader of the nation’s largest conservative seniors organization with over 7.2 million senior supporters, today responded to President Obama’s public assertion that “not even a smidgen of corruption” exists in the IRS targeting scandal. Obama made the comment during a well-publicized interview with Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly.

I, along with the American people, would like to know how President Obama is so certain there were no crimes committed at the IRS when the head of the office reviewing tax-exempt applications pleads the 5th Amendment and offers to testify in exchange for immunity. If Lois Lerner is ‘smidgen free’ of corruption, then from what does she require immunity?

Obama is once again lying in broad daylight. Since there is no smoking gun from the IRS admitting guilt, he disingenuously says no evidence of corruption exists. But the corruption is implied by the very acts of the IRS. As one example, his brother’s liberal foundation was approved in a mere 28 days for tax-exempt status while hundreds of conservatives were delayed, harassed and had to wait up to 36 months. This long-standing pattern of behavior from a supposedly impartial government agency, as well as the fact it was known of for months before anyone said a word, is more than enough to prove corruption was alive and well the entire time.

Lucky for Mr. Obama, the political donor he appointed to head the investigation has declared no criminal charges will be brought, hardly a surprise from a political appointee who got her money’s worth from her donation to the President. Sorry Mr. President, there is more than a smidgen of evidence of corruption, there is a mountain of evidence. And your declaration waving this political scandal away while Americans are denied the facts about how the highest levels of government operate to do your political dirty work is a flag erected on the peak."
