Meet the New Boss (Same as the Old Boss)
If you thought that the November elections would bring about a radical change in government, you are going to be sadly disappointed. Although the Republican Party took control of the House of Representatives, they (the majority party) are showing their true colors. They are falling back to the Bush days of big spending. They are being lead by the Progressives in the Republican Party. Don't get me wrong, the GOPs don't spend quite as CRAZY as the DEMs, but they do spend, spend, spend. Neither side has a grasp of the seriousness of the situation. Or, they don't give a care.
Government Shut-Down
The GOP does not want the government to shut-down. They don't want to be blamed for it. Consequently, they are caving-in to the DEMs and are negotiating a "deal" even though they have the power. DUH? Neither party has the will to make severe cuts to save the country. We can hardly wait to see the results. John Boehner (R, OH) is one of the main reasons why the GOP cannot get out of the rut. He's part of the Good-Old-Boy network in Washington, DC. Yes, it was Boehner who voted for Obama's Stimulus, Cash for Clunkers, bank bailouts and on and on... How can America expect to see a change when there are Progressives in both political parties?
Disappointed?
Don't be fooled again. Look at what has happpened in Massachusetts. The newly elected Republican Senator Scott Brown is pissing-off the people who helped vote him into office. It seems that Brown has changed his mind about the very principles that got him elected. Tea Party principles of cutting spending for one. Now after being elected, Brown doesn't think that we should cut entitlement spending. He's siding more with the DEMs - much to the dismay of the Tea Party folks in Massachusetts. It seems that campaign promises were just that! PROMISES! Just say what the people want to hear to get elected, then show your true colors.
Action to Take
Don't re-elect these people. They have shown that they are NOT what they claimed they were. Don't give them another chance to screw-up America. Let them know that you are disappointed.
