Want to Get Rid Of Cookies?

Oh those pesky advertising, tracking, and just plain snooping cookies. You try to use your browser's On/OFF keys but to no avail. Well, things are looking up. There is an application out there that BLOCKS these cookies and you can track which ones are violating your space and you can block them. The application is called "Ghostery."

Ghostery is a free application that allows you to control which cookies to run on YOUR computer. It supports both Windows and Macintosh operating systems. It stops unwanted advertisements, ad networks, analytic data miners, and other companies interested in YOUR behavior on the Internet. This application tracks over 1,600 tracking cookies.

You can individually cite which cookies to block or allow. When you access a web page, the page may secretly be loading all kinds of trackers to your web browser without YOUR permission. When you access Ghostery, you will see a listing of all those SNOOPING on you. You can decide to allow/disallow them to continue.

Google has an app that disallows "Doubleclick" but that's like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse. Doubleclick is owned by Google. No conflict of interest there.

If you are strongly interested in halting the theft of your INFORMATION and personal data, this is the way to go.
